GARVIA BAILEY

I’ve been an arts journalist, broadcaster and sharer (is that a word?) of stories for over 20 years. My first major gig was with the CBC, doing most everything; hosting, producing, writing, doing a little tv and a whole lot of radio. I spent an action packed decade there and the bulk of that time was spent hosting my own arts and culture show. My last gig was waking with the sun as morning show host at JazzFM91. My dog, my daughter and my partner are happy that I am no longer banging around the house at 4:30am. I enjoy sharing the music that I love and the stories that inspire meaningful human connection and being a part of this stellar team. garviabailey.com

THOMAS FRANCIS

The Jazz ‘Gene’ is a metaphor to aid in exploring the common cultural traits and practices of African-American music. In every episode we investigate the unique frameworks of the ‘gene’ through varying genres and archetypes that without Jazz would not persevere or evolve.

BILLY HEATON

Billy is In, is a cornucopia of classic and contemporary jazz. Tune in to hear the choice cuts he decides to spin.
